Brynja Björk is a screenwriter, born in Reykjavik, Iceland. Her writing debut, the TV series VAKA was picked up by Amazon MGM Studios and will premiere on Prime Video in January 2026. Directed by Broen’s Henrik Georgsson, the gripping dystopian thriller explores different layers of a crumbling society when an epidemic of deadly insomnia rips through Stockholm. Her second TV series is currently in development.
Brynja has a master’s degree in International Business and is based in Reykjavik but works internationally.
